Choose Life. . .

Bill McKenna has said: "Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in one pretty and well- preserved piece,
but to skid across the line broadside, thoroughly used up, worn out, leaking oil, shouting GERONIMO!"

Moses said: "...therefore, choose life..." (Deuteronomy 30:19).

I choose life - with all its choices, challenges and changes!

How about you?

Easier Said Than Done...

Okay, I admit I'm technologically deprived. This has been the most difficult work I've done this day.
I named the blog, then changed my mind and renamed it TBD - that makes sense to me. Then I wanted to change it to TO BE DETERMINED, because I can feel a posting coming on about that. But can't find the way to change the title.

To be determined seems to describe life doesn't it? We have choices to go one way or another, and either way determines an outcome, sometimes expected, many times not. But there is always a choice. Hope I'm making the right one when I push THIS tab...

  1. Yay me! I uploaded a picture and am your first follower. I'm so proud of you! I must say the picture of me looked better in the preview. Confused--do you want TBD as your title or To be Determined (which is how it appears to me.) And one novel finished , 3 to go? 3 to go as of this post or as far as you know but your next choice could change that. Well it seems the bandwagon is pulling away and gaining speed. I'd better jump on it soon or miss the opportunity.

  2. Welcome, Brailleblazer! (Love that name!)
When I first created the blog I put TBD in the title box – as in “I’ll decide later” – but the more I thought about it, the more I liked: To Be Determined. . . The ways we make choices, face our challenges, and adapt to changes really do determine how we live life.
And on the novels, yes, three to go as of this time. I won't restrict it to three, however. You are right; there may be more bouncing around in there like Tigger.
Liz Curtis Higgs once asked, “How do know you are called to write?” My answer: I know I'm called to be a writer because of all those people in residence in my head, without paying rent in houses I've never seen, in towns that aren't on any map, doing things I've never done, clamoring to set their stories free!

    Come back again, Brailleblazer.

  3. You should love the name. You helped me come up with it. Love your answer to why you write. I'll keep coming back. Thanks for the ideas.

  4. Congratulations!

I even took a class on blogging and I am still unblogged. Well, with time and prayer, perhaps or perhaps not.

  5. I loved reading the story of your blog title. Putting a blog online has to involve a stretch outside the comfort zone. I am a writing teacher, and I share my writing with my family and students, but I don't share beyond that. You have my respect for putting your courage to the test--and passing!

  6. Thanks for stopping by. Yes, it’s a bit stretching to plunge into the blogging pool. I think writing the novel was easier than getting this off the ground. Why is that? Do we hide behind the fictional story but hold back when it’s “for real”?
